As the remains of late Catechist Peter Amalikam Ekashili is interred, Very Rev. Fr.’s. Ambrose Oghenejode Abaka, Bernard Olagba and others on Friday, March 19, paid their last respect to the renowned Catechist whom was described as a Catholic to the core.

The funeral mass which held at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Amai in Ndokwa Local Government Area, Delta State attracted dignitaries and Christ faithful from Warri Diocese.
Delivering a message of condolences to the deceased Catechist family, Very Rev. Fr. Dr. Abaka described the late Catechist as a great man of service.
“Late Catechist Peter Ekashili put his best to services of Christ and to the Church, despite his health challenge as a physically challenged person, he was still dedicated to the service of the Church”.
Speaking in same vein, Very Rev. Fr. Bernard Olagba said the late catechist was a man who was ready to work for the growth of the church. He disclosed that he first encountered the catechist as a seminarian and that since then, he has been a man of service who never allowed his physical state to stop him from serving God.
The deceased Catechist Peter Amalikam Ekashili lived for 82 years and until his death, he was a parishioner of St. Anthony Catholic Church Amai.
