Port of Spain, Missionary Newspaper- Following the exit of Ms. Lucille Nathu from her position as president of SIGNIS in the Carribean, Television journalist and producer Lisa Bhajan is the new President of SIGNIS Caribbean, replacing MsMs. Lucille who left her position with Catholic Media Services Limited (CAMSEL), an organization she represented at SIGNIS Caribbean.
Lisa Bhajan was currently Vice President of SIGNIS Caribbean, and will assume this new position until the official election of the new President to be held at the next General Assembly in September.
Until the complete direction of the association is fully renewed, the board of directors has entrusted the secretariat to Mrs. Suzanne Dowdy. The position of Secretary was also vacant since January 2018, following the resignation of Mrs. Shelly Ann Chung.
Mrs. Bhajan and Dowdy will serve at least until the next general meeting in September, when SIGNIS Caribbean’s new board of directors will be renewed on a permanent basis.
