WARRI- AS the Marian month of May devotion came to climax on Thursday, May 31 with the grand finale ceremonuy held at Our Lady of Visitation Shrine, Oleri in Udu Local Government Area of Delta State, Catholics and Christians all over have been urged to remain steadfast in services to God and humanity.
The Chaplain of the Marian Society in Warri Diocese, Rev. Fr. Nicholas Djebah in his closing message, admonished Christians to be prayerful and always put their faith and trust in God no matter the tribulations and trials of life.
Fr. Nicholas described the role of mother Mary in the church as unfathomable and inseparable and charged Christians to be fully involved in theor work of charity to others especially the needy in their midst.
He noted that giving doesn’t mean only money but that true and sincere charity goes beyond that as charity supercedes all these.
In his homily during the Mass to mark the close of the Marian year, Rev. Fr. Ufuoma Anenene admonished Christians to always be patient and faithful to God. Citing the case of Elizabeth and Sarah in the scritures, he said when Christians fervently put their faith in God, no matter the delay, God will definitely answer their prayers as He answered Sarah and Elizabeth in the bible.
There was a special thanksgiving offered by Catholic faithful including members of the Marian Society, Catholic Women Organisation, Confraternity of Catholic Christian Mothers and other lay faithful.
