WARRI- The Class of 2008 graduating set of Saints Peter and Paul Major Seminary Ibadan and All Saints Major Seminary, Uhiele-Ekpoma which had Reverend Father’s Jerome Owhere, Joseph Inana, Abraham Oyibocha, Jude Emunemu and Emmanuel Obadjere, both ordained Catholic priests in June 26, 2008 at Saints Peter and Paul Major Seminary Ibadan, had all course to look back in appreciation to God for His mercies and love as they celebrates their 10th priestly ordination anniversary.
It was a moment of reflection, reminiscence and thanksgiving to the owner of the vineyard as the celebrants together with their family members, friends, well wishers and lay faithful joyfully offered thanks to God for the enablement and grace in the last ten years.
Those celebrating their anniversary all had their individual thanksgiving at their various parishes and joined by family members, friends, Catholic faithful and well-wishers.
Rev. Fr. Joseph Ufuoma Inana took turn to celebrate his anniverary on Saturday, June 30 at St. Francis Parish Agbarha- Otor in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State with an array of Catholic priests, family members, friends and parishioners of his former and present parish who joined him in thanking God.
Delivering a homily during the thanksgiving Mass, Rev. Fr. Thaddeus Okpowodu described the celebrant as a calm, humble and gentle priest of God whose character is worth emulating.
While congratulating the celebrant, Rev. Fr. Okpowodu charged him to be more committed to God’s service devoid of worldly distractions. He called on all friends, family members and the church to always remember him in prayers.
While on his part, Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Obadjere also celebrated his 10th priestly anniversary on Sunday, July 2, in his parish, St. William Catholic Church Orereokpe in Okpe LGA of Delta State.
Family members, friends, well wishers and pariahioners also joined him in thanking God. He also used the occassion to launched a book authored by him.
The ceremony was graced by the monarch, Orhue 1 and former chief of defence staff, Gen. Alexander Ogomudia and other eminent personalities.
In the same vein, Rev. Fr. Jerome Owhere also marked his 10th priestly anniversary in his parish, Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Parish Ebrumede, in Uvwie Local Government Area. He was also joined by well wishers and Catholic lay faithful.
Rev. Fr. Abraham Oyibocha also had his turn in his parish, St. Joseph Catholic Church, Oviri-Olomu inUghelli South LGA on Saturday, July 7 were he offered thanks to God for his favour and love. He was accompanied by priests, friends, family members and Catholic faithful to mark the remarkable event.
Filled with gratitude, they both thanked God for the gift of the priesthood and thanked all those who have been of immense support to them in one way or the other since their ordination.
Fr. Who expressed gratitude to God for giving him the gift of the Catholic priesthood, also appreciated the Late. Msgr Erhue of blessed Memory, Very. Rev. Anthony Ozele whom God use to accomplish his Priestly ministry.
