WARRI- A book titled; “Child Upbringing: A Guide to parenting” written by the CWO president of Warri diocese, Lady Victory Oghenechovwen LSM, was on Saturday, June 23, at the Assumption Catholic Church Idama, Warri launched with a charge for parents to spend time with their children/wards.
The book launch ceremony which commenced with the celebration of the Mass, was presided by the bishop of the diocese represented by the dean of warri deanery Very. Rev. Fr. John Ibekwe and joined by other priests.
In his words of gratitude, Most Rev. John Afareha whose speech was read by the diocesan chaplain to the CWO, Rev. Fr. Dr. James Urien said, the bishop is happy with the performances of the CWO in the diocese and has said; the CWO is the head of all women group in the diocese, but noted that each of the women group are still independent.
Rev. Fr. Dr. Urien also stated that the bishop has congratulated all the various women group in the diocese for their understanding, love, peace and unity and urged them to continue in it.
On the book title, “Child Up bringing: A Guide to Parenting”, Rev. Fr. James Urien congratulated the CWO president for the great initiative, adding that the book is an eye opener that will teach parents especially mothers in the right way of bringing up their children and wards especially in the fear of God. He encouraged mothers to always and at all time teach their children to follow the teachings of Christ as this will help them in their future.
