JDPC members task to be committed to God’s work, as bishop rates commission high

WARRI, Missionary Newspaper: MOST Rev. John Oke’Oghene Afareha, Catholic Bishop of Warri Diocese has charged director and members of Justice, Development, Peace and Commission JDPC, to be up and doing in order to take the diocese of Warri on a path of progress.
Bishop Afareha have the charge recently in his office when the director of JDPC Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Obadjere led members of the commission from the five regions in the diocese on a thank you courtesy visit to the bishop over his inspiring keynote address delivered during the maiden JDPC conference held on June 30, 2018 at the Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church Ughelli.
The director of the commission while speaking during the courtesy visit, told the bishop that they have come to thanked the bishop and expressed gratitude to him over the allocation of an office complex to the commission at the bishop court premises.
He noted that the bishop gesture was a huge relief to the commission and coupled with his presence at the maiden conference of the commission held in Ughelli. “My Lord bishop, you have boosted our moral.”
Responding, the bishop expressed his appreciation to the director of JDPC  and all members, stating that it was the first time for any commission in the diocese to come forth with members for a courtesy visit to visit him as a bishop.
While commending the commission for a successful conference which he described as a pacesetter, the bishop called for more commitment among members so that the diocese can move faster and higher.
