WARRI, MISSIONARY NEWS: Nigerians prepare for the Presidential and National Assembly Elections this weekend, the Catholic Bishop of Ondo Diocese, Most Reverend  Jude Arogundade has challenged all, to elect leaders who will entrench  good governance in Nigeria.
Bishop Arogundade who gave the charge at the weekend at the annual Oke Maria National Pilgrimage in Oka Akoko, Ondo State, noted, that at this time in Nigeria, the citizens are faced with the responsibility of choosing civil leaders and appealed for prayers,  and for God to intervene and help the electorates to choose people who will strive and work for good governance for the common good of the nation.
The bishop added that,Nigeria is a beautiful country that do not deserve to go down into anarchy and self-destruction.
“Saturday, February 16, take your voter card and go down on your kneels to beg God not to let you make mistake in your choice of the right leaders for Nigeria, Around Ade urges”.
He charged all electorate to tell God that they do not want to make mistake.
“Let me be sincere in choosing those who will lift up and preserve the dignity of all citizens of this country.”
The 2019 Oke Maria Pilgrimage according to him,  is unique because of so much that is at stake. “We are at the verge of so many dangers that must be challenged and matched with faith, courage and truth. Nigeria must no longer be a country of the faint hearted, but of the strong and the courageous. Let us show strength through courage. If history teaches anything, it teaches that self-delusion in the face of unpleasant facts is folly.”
The Clergyman said, with prayers and with all the creative energy at our disposal, we should begin an era of national renewal . “Let us renew our determination, our courage and our strength. Like the faith and courage of Mary and all the saints of our faith who beat all odds to become victorious over evil and sin.”
“The ultimate determinant in the struggle that’s now going on in the world will not be bombs and rockets, but a test of will and ideals, a trial of spiritual resolve, the values we hold, the belief we cherish, and the ideals to which we are dedicated.” With Mary our Mother, we will succeed.
