All eyes was focus on the acient kingdom of Otu Jeremi, as the Bishop of the diocese went for the Canonical Erection of the Parish / Installation of the 1st Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Justin Oghenovo Edagobo & Opening of the Parish house.
During his homily, the Bishop congratulated the people for the realization of this historic events. Also, he commended the people for building a beauty and befitting church and a Priest rectory. He challenged them to do more by building schools and hospitals amongst others. They are to continue the spread of the gospel by keying to the New Evangelisation principle. Several Priests were present including the chancellor , Very Rev. Fr. Benard Olagba, the Dean of Ughelli, Very Rev. Fr. Peter Igolo and several other priests.
His excellency, Prof. A. A. Utuama deputy Governor of Delta State who hails from Otughievwon was among several other government functionary, who were present. His majesty, Owawha II, the Okobaro of Ughievwen was also present .
High point of the occasion was the Canonical Installation, Erection and blessing of the Priests rectory. Indeed, it was a memorable day for the church in particular and the community in general.
