Wednesday Second Week of Advent

 Is 40:25-31

Mtt11:28-30.

Even youths shall faint and be weary and young man shall fall exhausted, but they who wait for the lord shall renew their strength… Is 40:29ff sometimes I sit back and wonder on how mush of God’s word ought to be heard before one becomes convinced of God’s place in the scheme of things. This may sound adjured, but the life of the Israelites is a true testimony to this despite all that God has done them up to this moment of their history when Isaiah prophesied, the prophet kept on repeating the unfailing truth”God is supreme”. With the rise in the population of christian one. Also would imagine that we don’t need to tell anyone that “God is supreme” but is that the care? With the “double standard” christian we have everywhere, the persistence in the teaching of the truth. Needs not be contested. Christian who are also idol worshiper are everywhere. For some we cant put all our eggs in one basket. This is Christianity in wrong direction. Hence the prophet re-echoes that those who put their trust absolutely is God shall not be forsaken. Same Jesus the messiah tells us in the gospel; come to me all you who labour and are heavy laden and i will give you rest. The prophet spoke, Jesus God himself assures us, why then should we doubt. The acclamation tells us behold the lord is coming to save his people, blessed are those who are ready to meet him. Doubt is a vine that can prevent us from meeting the messiah. Doubt no longer but believe. For blessed are those who have not seen but they believe. O lord help my unbelief. Amen
