ORDER OF ST. AUGUSTINE, OSA ORDAINS SIX(6) DEACONS IN WARRI

Six(6) deacons were on Friday 4, 2017 at St. Cyprian Catholic Church, Enerhen near Warri Delta State ordained to the sacred order of the Catholic Priesthood by Most Rev. Donatus Ogun, OSA, Bishop of Catholic Diocese of Uromi. While admonishing the candidates, Bishop Ogun using the words of the scriptures said; “Before I formed you in the womb, I know you… woe to me if I fail to preach the Gospel”.

He said, “God has a mission for each and every one since vocation to the priesthood is to improve God’s creation. He urged them to detest and abhor spiritual perjury, which is anything that will make them lie in the name of God. You are the builders of God’s people, he said, thereby challenging them to be true disciples of Christ, who would use their priesthood as a medium for the spread of the God’s message in leading people of God.

To the glory of God, the following were ordained as priests: Rev. Joseph Nentawe Jiwok, OSA, Rev. Charles Chumaobi Nwaosu, OSA, Rev. Raymond Toba Beyeginhi, OSA, Rev. Valentine Aghoghophia OSA, Rev. Emmanuel Onos Ighalo OSA and Rev. Nathaniel Naamkip Baamlong OSA.
Moments after the Mass, the newly ordained Priests with their family members, friends, Christ faithful and well wishers gathered at the Parish social center to celebrate the social which was chaired by Chief (Dr) and Mrs. John Oganwu supported by Mr. Charles Ajuyah, (SAN) and other personalities.
