On thursday the 26th of November 2015, the Bishop, priests and lay faithful of the Catholic Diocese of Warri gathered at St. Williams Catholic Church Oreropke for a funeral Mass to bid farewell to the remains of Late Pa. Daniel Ederaine, the father of Rev. Fr. John Ederaine. The Funeral Mass was presided over by His Lordship Most Rev. John OkeOghene Afareha, Catholic bishop of Warri Diocese with the assistance of many priests. The homily was delivered by Very Rev. Fr. Abaka Oghenejode who reminded everyone present that the mystery of shines over the realities of suffering and death. He exhorts the children to continue in the path of faith that their father has laid for them. Pa Daniel Ederaine was a disciplined and dedicated Catholic. He was called to the Lord at age 73.
Through the Chancellor Very Rev. Fr. Clement Abobo, Rev. Fr. John Ederaine who was unavoidably absent sent words of appreciation to the Bishop, Priests and entire faithful of the Catholic Diocese of Warri for the support given to them in this their trying time. May the soul of Pa. Daniel Ederaine and the souls of all the faithful departed through the mercy of God rest in peace, Amen.
